Vladimir Putin always has a great day. Always. He is never, ever, off his game. You want to know how this is possible? The Russian strongman has an answer.
Speaking with legendary filmmaker Oliver Stone, Russia’s President made a statement that could have been taken right out of Donald Trump’s own mouth. The two men were strolling through the glitzy throne room when Stone asked the President if he ever had “off days.”
Putin shrugged the question off as foolish. He explained to Stone that he never had to worry about having a bad day because, in his words:
I am not a woman, so I don’t have bad days. I am not trying to insult anyone. That’s just the nature of things. There are certain natural cycles.”
The big man in the Kremlin wants you to know that he never gets his period.
Mr. Putin has made other completely ridiculous comments about women over the years. Most recently, he commented on International Women’s Day that he admired women for “their beauty” and for “always being on time.”
Putin praised Russia’s women for the “mysterious power” they possess. A power that lets them get everything done, accomplish a million tasks and still remain “tender” for their menfolk.
Shades of 1950.
It should come as no real surprise to learn that Putin has old fashioned ideas about women. Russia is, after all, the country that arrested the female punk group “Pussy Riot” for hooliganism.
And any man who has himself photographed shirtless and on horseback definitely has a little insecurity around his masculinity.
So, just to be absolutely clear, Russian President Vladimir Putin assured filmmaker Oliver Stone that he never has a bad day. Because, you know, he doesn’t menstruate. He’s a man.
In case that wasn’t completely clear.
