An animal rescue group in India, Wildlife SOS, has a group of women knitting sweaters for rescued elephants. It will help the animals stay warm during cold India winters. Also, the sweaters are colorful and beautiful:

The co-founder of the organization, Kartick Satyanarayan, said:
“It is important to keep our elephants protected from the bitter cold during this extreme winter, as they are weak and vulnerable having suffered so much abuse making them susceptible to ailments such as pneumonia.”

Most of the rescued animals are blind or otherwise disabled. These sweaters will help them stay warm. They are receiving a lot of love at this center as well. They have open spaces to roam in, frequent baths, and great medical care.
