Teen Vogue published a guide on anal sex for teens and anyone interested in the subject. Parents are absolutely freaking out!
The magazine touted it as:
“… The lowdown on everything you need to know about butt stuff, no matter who you are, whom you’re having sex with, or who you want to have sex with.”
One blogger, known as “The Activist Mommy,” posted a video ranting about the article. She ranted:
“They are teaching children 11 through 17, that’s the target audience…how to be safely sodomized. Yes, they are teaching kids how to have anal intercourse. We should not be teaching children — period — how to have sex.”
“These editors’ brains are in the gutter. Now let’s put their sales in the gutter where they belong.”
She burned copies of the magazine in her video. Yes, she is allowed to do that. However, she is being ridiculous. Teens have Google. They will learn about sex one way or another. At least, this magazine teaches them to do it safely.
Phillip Picardi, digital editorial director at the magazine, tweeted:
“The backlash to this article is rooted in homophobia. It’s also laced in arcane delusion about what it means to be a young person today.”
The backlash over this article is nuts.
