Family Claims Innocence When Removed From Flight – But There Is More To The Story

in Life/Win by

A New York family was removed from a plane after the mother had an altercation with another passenger. The family is claiming that they were kicked off of the plane because their 1-year-old kicked the seat in front of them. However, the airline says that they kicked the family off because the mother cussed at and threatened the other passenger who complained about being kicked by the child.

I would side with the airline on this one. The other passenger just politely asked her to control her children, and the mother went off on the other passenger.

The statement from JetBlue read in part:

“After a verbal altercation that included physical threats and profanities against a nearby customer, the aircraft door was reopened and our airport’s team politely asked the customers to step off to discuss the situation.”

Once removed from the plane, the couple continued to press the airline for answers as to why they were removed because they apparently didn’t know.

Then, the local sheriff’s deputies stepped in. The deputy said:

“They’re kicking you off the plane — whether it’s right, whether it’s wrong, this is their plane. So they can do whatever they want to do. That doesn’t mean you don’t have any recourse. It doesn’t mean you can’t solve this in another way. You’re not getting home tonight on JetBlue.”

Maybe if the mother hadn’t been a jerk about it, her family could’ve gotten home that night.
