We all know that life in Russia can be difficult. Vladimir Putin isn’t exactly warm and cuddly, and people live with a certain amount of fear about what he might do next.
But few people would have predicted the attack of the runaway potties.
A couple of days ago, Moscow was hit with a strong summer storm. Driving rain and strong winds swept through Red Square. It was so powerful that a bunch of untethered blue porta-potties went rolling down the streets, driving the crowds before them.

The post reads:
“In Red Square. Even the toilets are running away from the bloody regime.”
You know Twitter. The video went viral, and people around the world responded. One Russian speaker wrote:
“Cool, if someone was actually sitting in there.”
круто, если в это время в них кто-нибудь сидел)))))))

Other people compared the image to the British TV show, Doctor Who. In that sci-fi program, an inter-galactic doctor with special powers travels around the universe in a blue, box shaped vehicle. It looks a little bit like, you know, those Russian toilets.

Isn’t it good to know that even in the face of unexpected danger, like the attack of the living loos, people are able to maintain a sense of humor?
I”ll definitely check the weather before I take my first stroll around Red Square one of these days.
