Animal shelters usually write cute and endearing descriptions of their residents, sharing their likes and dislikes and quirks of their personalities. An Austrailian organization, Cats Of Melbourne, is no different, except in the case of “Lord Bigglesworth” where they dropped the cute and endearing part and replaced it with brutally honest and terrifying.
According to the memo published on COM’s adoption pages, Lord Bigglesworth, also known as Mr. Biggles is:
“an utter utter utter bastard”
Gina Brett, the founder, and Coordinator of COM went on to write:
“Mr. Biggles is a despot and dictator; he will let you know he is not happy, which is often because things are often just not up to his high standards. Mr Biggles likes his cuddles on his terms and will sit in your lap when he decides it’s time. If the stroking is not up to his standards, he will nip you.”
As Mr. Biggles is just over two years old, the brave soul who takes him on will have to live with many years of tantrums and bad attitudes, but apparently, he also has a soft side. The memo goes on to say:
“He loves sleeping on the end of the humans’ bed, and in his cat bed (and he snores just a little bit, it’s so cute), and he loves to be out in the backyard stalking the chickens and supervising the gardening.”
So, if you have a yearning for a feline friend and you are into having your eyes clawed out by a furry ball of fury, perhaps Mr. Biggles os the cat for you. Just make sure you lock up your chickens, and probably your children, first.
Don’t say you weren’t warned.
