Well, just in case you were wondering, Texas has not grown any more intelligent or informed in the past week.
At least some people in Texas haven’t. That includes Sheriff Tracy Murphree of Denton county. The Texas lawman took to Facebook on Monday to pontificate about the causes of the deadly terrorist bombing in Manchester, England.
The Sheriff wants to get America to “wake up” and realize that those dumb Brits brought this on themselves. His long rant included this:
Pay attention to what you see in Manchester England tonight. Pay attention to what is happening in Europe. This is what happens when you disarm your citizens. When you open your borders without the proper vetting. When you allow political correctness to dictate how you respond to an enemy that wants to kill you. When you allow these radicals to travel to Afghanistan and Iran and simply let them back in.”
He goes on to blast the entire religion of Islam, naturally, bemoaning how badly it treats women and gay people. I find that just a little hypocritical from a super conservative, but that’s what he wrote.
He doesn’t say what it is he would like to see America do to prevent these sorts of terrorist acts, but he has plenty to say about all of those whining liberals. It’s not a particularly original rant, in that it points the blame at the so called “political correctness” of the left for leading us all to death and destruction.
While most of the responses to the post were along the lines of “what the hell is wrong with you,” more than a few were in full support of the lone star lawman.
Apparently this country still has plenty of people who believe you can stop a suicide bomber with a gun, even though nobody ever knows that the bomber is there until the moment when he explodes. There are clearly people who believe if we just say enough nasty things about other people, we’ll be safe.
And people who believe that it makes sense to send thousands of concealed weapons into an arena full of teens and children.
What the hell is wrong with these people?
