Be forewarned: if you do not like creepy crawlies, then you should stop reading this article right now.
But, since you’re already here, let’s talk about how hundreds of black caterpillars in Thailand decided to join together in order to form a slow-moving train that greased across a tiled floor.
Earlier this month, a shocked bystander in Trang, Thailand recorded this very unusual and unnatural occurrence with their phone. The twenty-three second clip does not provide any context or conclusion, but it does provide enough evidence to keep one up at night.
These Thai caterpillars are just another example of weird animal behavior recently. Not too long ago, in the suburban town of Randolph, Massachusetts, a circle of wild turkeys performed some sort of strange ritual over the carcass of a dead cat. This incident was also captured on camera.
Just in case you’re wondering, the caterpillars in the video appear to be Eupterotidae Apona, but one cannot be too sure. If there’s a zoologist who reads Off the Main Page, then please contact us ASAP.
So, if you are planning on visiting Thailand this summer (and you really should), bring a camera, some bug spray, and a strong stomach. You can never be too sure when something like this may happen again.
