Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is running his company much differently nowadays, and he has his daughter to thank.

Maxima is the first child of Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan. Chan is a pediatrician and philanthropist. Before Maxima came along, life at Facebook was much different. Zuckerberg was used to putting in long hours and coming home late.

Then he became a dad.

While he was speaking to students at North Carolina Agriculture and Technical State University, via Facebook live nonetheless, he said:

“I used to have meetings that ran really late. But now, I make sure that three times a week, I’m home to give [Maxima] a bath.”

Shorter workdays aren’t the only thing he’s changed since becoming a dad.

Facebook offers four months of paid parental leave. After seeing the importance of spending time with his newborn, that leave is now offered to both mothers and father. They’ve also made it available to same-sex couples.

That’s still not all, though.

Zuckerberg took some advice from Facebook COO Sheryl Sandburg. She wrote “Lean In,” a book that shows the importance of fathers being more involved in the upbringing of their children. It also suggests they talk about their fatherly duties amongst their friends.

When she asked for parking for pregnant women, Zuckerberg delivered. The Facebook lot now has spots for those who are expecting. After all, walking for two can be hard on your body.

While Zuckerberg has a lot to be thankful for these days, given the success of his company, he said:

“The thing that I’m most proud of, and the thing that brings me the most happiness, is my family.”

Let this be an example to Corporate America that you can run a successful business while allowing more family time for your employees.
