Craig Deare, appointed just a month ago to head the National Security Council’s Western Hemisphere division, was escorted from the Executive Office Building after being fired from his position.
According to CBS, a White House official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said that he had indeed been fired and had returned to his prior position at the National Defense University. Though the official refused to comment on why, stating that the release was not made public, it is curious that the action was taken just days after Deare made disparaging remarks against Trump.
At the Wilson Center discussion, Deare allegedly slammed Trump’s views on the Latin American community as well as complained of his inability to be part of very important policy discussions with Mexico. It was also pointed out that Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and Steve Bannon were involved in these secret and closed meetings.
Members of the State Department had similar complaints when they were left out of talks with Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu but Kushner and Bannon were exclusively involved. Apparently several members of the State Department have recently been laid off as well.
It has become very apparent that if you want to keep your job and your place in this current administration you better keep all negative comments of Trump’s dictatorship to yourself.
