You read that right. In the midst of Valentine’s Day, Burger King was spicing things up by adding adult toys in the adult meals.
The Israel Burger King chains implemented adult meals as part of their special menu, but customers had to wait until 6 p.m. to snatch these up. The adult meals came with your typical whoppers and French fries, and a little extra on the side.
The adult meals also came with two beers and an adult toy. While stating the obvious, customers are required to be 18 years and older to purchase one of those meals. Customers who ordered the adult meals received either “a blindfold, feather duster tickler or head massager.”
The Burger King chains in Israel were not the only restaurants to add some spunk for Valentine’s Day. While other fast-food chains were not including adult toys with their meals, they did participate in some special offerings. At White Castle, customers were treated with a white tablecloth dinner which included tableside service, hostess seating, and a Valentine’s Day menu.
Excluding the white table cloth service, Qdoba Mexican Grill offered customers free entries if they managed to get someone to kiss them in line.
Guests can receive the buy one get one free entrée offer by sharing a kiss with a friend, significant other, or even their cell phone.
Valentine’s Day is another gift-giving day that prompts customers to spend billions each year. National Retail Federation chief Matthew Shay said:
Valentine’s Day continues to be a popular gift-giving occasion even if consumers are being more frugal this year. Consumers will find that retailers recognize that their customers are looking for the best deals and will offer good bargains just as they did during the holiday season.
Prosper principal analyst Pam Goodfellow said:
Consumers can expect promotions on everything from flowers to date-night dinner packages in the coming days, leaving plenty of ideas for those looking to spoil their Valentine’s.
