Top 10 Horror Movies on Netflix

For those of you who are horror buffs, you might enjoy some of these awesome movies. These are my picks for the best horror movies that are on Netflix:

1. The VHS Trilogy

These are some of the best “found footage” types of movies out there. They will thoroughly creep you out. They are made up of found footage tapes with different characters and settings. Each one is creepy in its own way.

2. The ABCs of Death

This is a very interesting anthology film. It consists of 26 stories each written and directed by different people. The causes of death each correspond to a letter of the alphabet.

3. Hush

This is basically a slasher movie, but it has a slightly different twist. The main character is deaf. She is isolated in more ways than one while he is after her.

4. Contracted 1 and 2

This is an interesting take on a zombie movie. The first one follows a girl who catches a mysterious virus after a drunken hookup. Her condition deteriorated quickly. The second one follows someone else who she infected.

5. The Babadook

If you were afraid of monsters as a child, this movie will totally freak you out. That monster is real and is out to get people in this movie.

6. Indigenous

This one is pretty scary and it will keep you in suspense. It follows a group of people in the Amazon jungle. They encounter some insane monsters who are picking them off one by one.

7. House of Wax

This is a total classic slasher film. It follows a group of young adults on a road trip, and some of them stop at this “museum.” They end up becoming part of the exhibit.

8. The Human Centipede Trilogy

This is torture porn on a whole new level. It is way grosser than the Saw movies. This crazy surgeon experiments on people he abducts. These are definitely not for the faint of heart (or stomach).

9. The Shining

Being a huge Stephen King fan, I have to include this. The story of a family serving as caretakers for a hotel turns nasty quickly. The man loses control of himself and scares everyone.

10. Jeruzalem

If you are a fan of found footage movies, you will enjoy this. It takes you on a journey through the eyes of the main character literally. It is based on footage from her Google glasses. It will leave you guessing.
