We are one day away from inaugurating a President Donald Trump. He will be the first president in decades to not have a pet in the White House.
Well, these scientists may have a solution for that. Evolutionary biologist Dr Vazrick Nazari has found a new species of moth that has blonde hair and small genitalia, and he has named it after Donald Trump. The Neopalpa donaldtrumpi is the first species named after Trump. Other presidents have had species named after then.
Nazari said:
“The discovery of this distinct micro-moth in the densely populated and otherwise zoologically well-studied southern California underscores the importance of conservation of the fragile habitats that still contain undescribed and threatened species, and highlights the paucity of interest in species-level taxonomy of smaller faunal elements in North America.”
So I named a species after @realDonaldTrump. Maybe now he'll make conservation of fragile US ecosystems a priority?https://t.co/jetz83AHaC
